Orthopedic/Medical Massage I

admission_icon1Learn Postural Assessment and Treatment to assist your client through the healing process.  You will obtain skills that are only taught in most 4 year Physical Medicine degree programs.   Assessment skills will then be put into action during the next two days where you will learn how to eliminate pain and dysfunction in the neck and shoulders and the low back and hip. Specific protocols will be taught to help treat the pain related to the following conditions.  Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome, SI Joint Dysfunction,  Back Strain, Hip Pain, Neck Strain, TMJ, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and Herniated/bulging discs.

The Orthopedic/Medical Massage I Program includes the following:

Day 1:  Postural Assessment and Treatment
Day 2:  Ortho/Medical Massage for the Back
Day 3:  Ortho/Medical Massage for the Neck

Orthopedic/Medical Massage II

admission_icon1This Seminar will teach you specific protocols to treat the pain and dysfunction of Upper & Lower Extremity Musculoskeletal issues. On the first day we will cover conditions such as frozen shoulder, Rotator Cuff Strain, Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Wrist and hand pain.  On the second day the following will be addressed:  Hamstring strain, frozen hip, groin pain, knee pain, Achilles tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis.  Once again, all of the protocols have been designed to resolve pain quickly and not cause strain to the therapists body.

The Orthopedic/Medical Massage II Program includes the following:

Day 1:  Insurance, Billing & Documentation
Day 2:  Ortho/Medical Massage Upper Extremity
Day 3:  Ortho/Medical Massage Lower Extremity

admission_icon3The Advanced Class will cover some of the most advanced Structural Manual Therapy Techniques for treating difficult Neck and Back conditions. The techniques include Myofascial release, Muscle Energy work and Muscle firing order assessments to assist the therapist in determining the cause of chronic low back conditions.
